07 Dec Deputy Dillon welcomes €721,205 for Mayo Primary Schools Summer Works Scheme for 2021
Mayo Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon has welcomed the approval of 9 projects to be delivered under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme.
Deputy Dillon said: “I am pleased to welcome the provision of €721,205 funding investment into 9 primary schools within Mayo – those selected are as follows:

This funding investment is part of just over €31 million to facilitate the delivery of 275 projects nationally under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme announced by Minister for Education Norma Foley TD.
Deputy Dillon said “the announcement of schools this week in quarter 4 of 2020 provides schools with a good lead-in period to plan and deliver the projects in summer 2021. School communities have done an exceptional job in adapting to the changes required to operate safely in a Covid-19 environment. A key priority is to continue to support and sustain the operation of schools in this context.
Deputy Dillon concluded “I am pleased that the Minister and the Department of Education have been able to provide this funding and to notify schools in this timely way. All schools approved for the 2021 Summer Works Scheme are being notified by the Department of the next steps involved in the delivery of their projects.”
