“The task now is to ensure the Mayo region is given the opportunity to capitalise on this project in terms of economic, social and tourism development”.
“This project will change the landscape of region for the next 25 years and will significantly improve accessibility between towns such as Ballina, Castlebar and Westport and the North West region.”
“We need Mayo County Council and our locally elected members to come together and put in place a comprehensive development plan to highlight the many advantages Mayo it has to offer as a place to live, do business, create jobs and invest.
“I am also calling on the Minister for Communications, Climate Action & Environment, Richard Bruton to sign the National Broadband Plan contract and accelerate the rolling out of high-speed fibre network to the 36,843 premises in Mayo who haven’t yet been connected”.
“By improving our rural infrastructure and transport links we can continue to support our rural communities. We want to make rural Ireland an even better place to live, work and raise families by improving connectivity. Good quality roads have a real impact on people’s day to day lives and their safety.”
