11 Oct €2m Major Expansion for St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar
On Friday, I was thrilled to attend St Joseph’s College Castlebar to review its major school expansion consisting of works which include seven new classrooms, a new purpose-built Home Economics classroom, new toilet facilities and a link corridor to the existing main building.
Since becoming elected I have had the pleasure to work and support this project to it’s construction phase following on from the huge work former Taoiseach Enda Kenny put in.
I’d particularly like to acknowledge the trojan work of principal Marie McCabe and the students, boards of management, sisters of mercy, staff and parents association and the officials at the Department of Education who worked hard to get project where it is today.
It’s been a long road but well done to everyone involved and I’m.sure everyone will be excited to see it’s opening in September 2021.
Finally, I want to wish contractor ”Loumoy Ltd” Declan Moran from Louisburgh every good luck on the build and safe work to all those who will work on this project.
