Extensions to two Mayo schools

Deputy Alan Dillon has received confirmation that approval has been given additional accommodation for one modular Special Educational Needs and a mainstream classroom for Sancta Maria College in Louisburgh while a modular mainstream classroom has been granted for St Joseph’s National School in Ballina.

Deputy Dillon said, “This is great news for these two schools and their wider community. It will provide much-needed facilities for students with special educational needs in Louisburgh along with badly needed classrooms in this school and in the North Mayo school.”

He added: “I want to acknowledge the hard work of school principals Áine Moran in Louisburgh and Declan Kyne in Ballina along with their teachers, staff, students and their parents in securing this approval.”
